Rebuilding Together is the nation's largest volunteer organization preserving and revitalizing low-income houses and communities. Each year, through 250 affiliates working in more than 800 communities in all 50 states, over 250,000 Rebuilding Together volunteers make repairs and improvements that allow elderly, disabled and low-income families to continue to live in their homes with warmth, safety, accessibility and dignity.

Countrywide has announced its 2003 commitment to Rebuilding Together, bringing the company's total financial contributions in seven years to more than $1.1 million.

Countywide's contributions support the national Rebuilding Together organization and also provide financial support for selected projects in communities where our employees, family members and business partners devote thousands of hours of volunteer labor on home renovations each year. In the first six years of participation, Countrywide employees, family members and business partners have contributed more than 12,000 volunteer hours to helping 87 homeowners in 33 communities. In 2003, more than 30 projects will be completed by Countrywide volunteers.

Countrywide was founded on the principle of eliminating financial, cultural and educational barriers to attaining the American dream of homeownership. In turn, our support helps Rebuilding Together undertake its mission to eliminate physical and economic barriers that otherwise might force existing homeowners in need to give up their piece of that dream.
